Catalogue entry

This sketch is probably the first in a series of views made from Anthony’s Chapel which sits on the lower slope of Arthur’s Seat in Holyrood Park in Edinburgh: folios 81 verso–84 verso, 85 verso–87 verso and 88 verso–90 (D26415–D26421, D26423–D26427, D26429–D26432). This may be a view north from near the ruined chapel looking over St Margaret’s Loch towards Leith and the Firth of Forth. For more information about the sequence see folio 89 verso (D26431).
