Zayaan Khan

The artist presents My grandmother is disappointed sage is the only plant she can smell 2025, a video work that recounts the prolonged trauma of her first birth during which she found strength in ancestral memory.

Zayaan Khan is a multidisciplinary artist and storyteller based in South Africa who examines food justice, land justice and seed justice through various mediums, including lino printing, cyanotype, ceramic sculpture, seed work, sound, video and writing.
