This is a chance to become part of our group of young creatives at Tate St Ives. Working with artists and the Tate St Ives Young People’s Team you will create activities, installations and events for other young people and produce them as part of our Digital Studio this Spring.
We don't expect you to have previous experience– all you need is a desire to get creative, experiment and collaborate.
12 January: Meet the Tate Collective Team
Meet other young creatives and the Tate St Ives young people’s team. Find out about Tate Collective Producers and the exciting projects that we will be working on this Spring 2021.
26 January: Guest Artist Session with Nicole Morris
This session will feature artist Nicole Morris. Explore your ideas on wellbeing, increased time spent in domestic spaces throughout lockdown and the positive experience of art and making during this time.
Nicole Morris (b. 1986, Bedford) lives and works in London. She received an MA from the Slade School of Fine Art (2011). Recent exhibitions include Dear World commission, Wellcome centre for neuroimaging UCL, Survey, Jerwood Visual Arts, London; G39, Cardiff; Bluecoat, Liverpool & Baltic, Gateshead and Interiors, Compressor Projects, London.
9 February: Guest Artist Session with Nicole Morris
Collaborate with Nicole and other Tate collective producers to devise your own online event for young audiences.
23 February: Design Session
How do we share our voices when we can’t physically meet? Experiment with paper, print, text and illustration to design a Gallery resource that engages audiences with your ideas. Our final design will be shared at Tate St Ives for visitors to enjoy.
9 March: Programming Session
This will be a programming session for our Digital Takeover. Work with the Tate St Ives team to share your ideas and bring them to life.
23 March: Skills Session
This will be a skills-based session gearing up for our Digital Takeover. We’ll be brushing up on technical skills and how to work with audiences. Whether it’s an online workshop, talk or Instagram Story, you’ll be running it on the day with the Young People’s team and your ideas will be on show.
27 March: Tate Collective Digital Takeover
This will be the day that the Tate Collective Digital Takeover goes live.
About Tate Collective Producers
Our Tate Collective Producers Team are the young people’s group at Tate St Ives. We meet up regularly to work alongside artists, create art and devise workshops. We also host social events and exhibitions at the gallery as part of Tate Collective.
