To celebrate Life Between Islands, an exhibition of Caribbean-British art at Tate Britain, we invited artists, community leaders and colleagues from Tate’s BAME network to share their stories about the places and spaces across London that mean the most to them. Including never-before-heard memories from Steve McQueen, Ingrid Pollard, Hew Locke, Grace Wales Bonner and more.
There are over 40 stories throughout London, which feature on a series of billboards kindly given to the project by Jack Arts. Look out for them in your neighbourhood. Find the locations on Google Maps.
