Turner Prize 1992 artists: David Tremlett

David Tremlett attended the Falmouth School of Art (1962–3), afterwards studying sculpture at the Birmingham College of Art (1963–6) and the Royal College of Art, London.

He then travelled widely, his experience of different countries and cultures providing inspiration and material for his art. His approach was often similar to that of the exponents of land art, such as Richard Long and Hamish Fulton, showing an interest in temporally based, site-specific works.
