Portrait of a man from the shoulders up against a colourful background.

Hew Locke, Portrait 2022, Tate.

Join us for a special conversation between Hew Locke and Dorothy Price.

This discussion offers a rare chance to hear more and delve deeper into Hew Locke's current Tate Britain Commission: The Procession. This rigorous reading of the work from those close to it will create space to reflect on the multiple poetic, historical and rich references within this ambitious and staggering installation.

Hew Locke is a British sculptor and contemporary visual artist based in London.

Dorothy Price is Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art and Critical Race Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London.

Tate Britain's step-free entrance is on Atterbury Street. It has automatic sliding doors and there is a ramp down to the entrance with central handrails.

There is a lift between the Lower and Main floors. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Accessible and standard toilets are located on the Lower floor.
  • A Changing Places toilet is not currently available.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the ticket desk on the Lower floor.
