What impact can museums have on destigmatising societal attitudes surrounding gender inclusivity? Is the bigger question actually whether museums be spaces that heal, not hurt?

E-J Scott
E-J Scott is the second and third year leader of the BA (Hons) Culture, Criticism & Curation at Central Saint Martins, UAL. He founded the Museum of Transology (2014) and the Trans Pride UK (2023) and is again co-curating Queer & Now. E-J's curatorial practice is concerned with harnessing the social agency of museums to foster societal cohesion.
Winn Austin
Winn Austin is an actress and model, a volunteer for Stonewall Housing and an LGBTIQA+ rights advocate. She has been a highly visible contributor to queer and trans culture for decades, both in London and throughout Europe. Well-known for her MCing of the legendary nightclub Kinky Gerlinky, she has stepped out of the club and onto the screen in a wide range of on-screen roles. These include starring in the mid-90s Channel 4 Series “Gender Bender” to more recently appearing in “Beyond, There’s Always a Black Issue Dear”.
Janine Francois
Janine Francois is a Black British Feminist-Killjoy, Writer, Academic in Exile and Professional Heckler, who wants to abolish the bio-industrial-complex. Janine is an independent scholar and was the former Course Leader for BA Culture, Criticism and Curation at Central Saint Martins. Janine is also a Visiting Lecturer at Royal College of Art and Birkbeck College; and PhD student at Tate Britain and the University of Bedfordshire. Scottee
Scottee is a multi-award winning self-taught artist and broadcaster, who makes performance, paintings and audio that are often described as political or confronting.
Valentino Vecchietti
Valentino Vecchietti (she/they) is an award-winning intersex equality campaigner, writer, artist, diversity speaker and DE&I policy consultant. In 2019, Valentino founded Intersex Equality Rights UK, working with cultural organizations, businesses and government. In 2021, Valentino created the Intersex-Inclusive Pride Flag, increasing intersex visibility, representation and inclusion worldwide. They will share the significance of their object and speak about the impact and necessity of their activism.
This event with have BSL Interpretation.
Tate Britain's step-free entrance is on Atterbury Street. It has automatic sliding doors and there is a ramp down to the entrance with central handrails.
There is a lift between the Lower and Main floors. Alternatively you can take the stairs.
- Accessible and standard toilets are located on the Lower floor.

- Ear defenders can be borrowed from the ticket desk on the Lower floor.
