Anita dreams of becoming a reggae singer. She has the talent, the drive and a strong vocal group with her friends Sharon and Yvette.
But building a music career is not simple. Anita is raising two children, facing money problems and trying to leave the estate where she lives. Their father, Byron, does not support her plans.
While grieving for her mother, Anita also learns a painful family secret. Still, she refuses to give up. When an agent offers to help, Anita sees a chance to turn her dream into a new life.
