Building on the Stitching Time project started in 2025, you're invited to add to an evolving stitched work. This collaborative session takes place within the Royal Institute of British Architects' (RIBA's) free display, 'Just Come In': 30 Years of Maggie's Centres.
Bring your ideas and join in by stitching shapes, words and patterns, or drawing with thread. The gallery will become a communal studio for making, sharing and conversation.
This workshop is led by Lil Adams and Edie Parfitt from RIBA Learning. Lil is an artist, jeweller, and educator whose sewing has been exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and as part of immersive exhibitions with TRACES. Edie is an architectural designer and maker with an interest in sustainability, materiality, and collaborative learning. They will also be joined by exhibition curator Kate Dooley, who will share more about ‘Just Come In’: 30 Years of Maggie’s Centres and the ideas behind the exhibition.
The Stitching Time fabric is an evolving piece shaped by the interests, conversations, and contributions of everyone who takes part.
