We will be experimenting with a range of drawing techniques exploring the versatility of marks and textures made by using chalk pastels.
The inspiration for our drawings will stem from pastel drawn works in the Tate collection by artists such as Sonia Boyce, Paula Rego and Walter Sickert.
The session includes materials to take home with you, including a set of Winsor & Newton: Edgar Degas Pastels, produced in collaboration with Tate.
This session is for adults aged 16 and over.
All Tate Modern entrances are step-free. You can enter via the Turbine Hall and into the Natalie Bell Building on Holland Street, or into the Blavatnik Building on Sumner street.

- A quiet room is available to use in the Natalie Bell Building on Level 4.
