Explore telegraphy as a means of long distance communication through workshops, performance and discussion

Devised by artist Emma Smith, Signals and Codes is a day long research lab inviting visitors to explore historical and contemporary methods of telegraphy, from the semaphore to email.

Join experts to learn Morse code, and communicate with performers using semaphore flags. Invent your own coding system, and participate in an online chat room with Emma Smith and residents based in Nine Elms.

This event is programmed by Art on the Underground, a Tate Exchange Associate.
