Olafur Eliasson: The cubic structural evolution project

Build a vision of a future city with white Lego bricks

Alongside Olafur Eliasson’s major exhibition, you will be able to experience this artwork for free in the Turbine Hall.

You are invited to sit at a long table and make your vision of a future city, using a tonne of white Lego. The models that you make will be modified and expanded by other visitors. You can decide what to keep up or take apart and rebuild.

Eliasson first staged this work in 2004. Unlike normal Lego sets, here there is no branding and no instructions. The bricks are constantly reused while the work is installed. They can be recycled each time the work is shown in a new place.

Olafur Eliasson: In real life is on show in the Blavatnik Building until 5 January 2020.
