Performance: Joy Crookes Presents Juniper

South Tanks, Blavatnik Building, Level 0

Join South London singer-songwriter Joy Crookes for an exclusive live performance in the iconic South Tanks, marking the release of her latest album, Juniper. In this intimate event, Crookes will perform songs from Juniper, a deeply personal record that explores identity, anxiety, body politics and love. Her music touches on themes of home and belonging, creating a powerful dialogue with the work of artist Do Ho Suh.

Terms & Conditions for the ballot

The ballot is for two free tickets to Joy Crookes at Tate Modern on 26 September 2025. Entry to the ballot is exclusively for people aged 16-25 who are registered with Tate Collective. Only one entry per Tate Collective account is permitted, duplicate entries will be void.

The ballot will be open for entries until 17.00 on 22 September 2025. Winners will be chosen at random and notified by email on 23 September 2025.

Tickets will go on general sale on Monday 22 September at 11.00

Artist Talk and Screening: Do Ho Suh

Join a talk with London based artist Do Ho Suh to coincide with The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House. With immersive artworks exploring belonging, collectivity and individuality, connection and disconnection, Suh examines the relationship between architecture, space, the body, and the memories and moments that make us who we are. Hear from the artist himself with reflections from Nabila Abdel Nabi, Senior Curator of International Art, Tate Modern. Followed by a screening of short films by collaborators on Do Ho's Bridge Project featuring filmmaker Hugh Brody, and activist Doreen Nutaaq Simmonds.

Enjoy DJ sets all night from Eastern Margins and Sijya, programmed by Global Roots. Eastern Margins is the home of alternative Asian culture, telling stories that represent the diversity of narratives across East and South-East Asia and its diaspora. Joining the lineup is artist Sijya, whose work explores raw textures and unfiltered emotion. Her new EP Leather & Brass is released this month on One Little Independent Records.

Experience a special video DJ set by Thristian. TheGRIN.io founder will weave together contemporary Asian arts, music, and culture videos, alongside playful rounds of traditional Korean Gonggi in the bar.

Synth pioneer Danalogue (The Comet Is Coming, Soccer96) teams up with Mari* (Gondwana Records) for a night of deep, cosmic sounds on the Terrace Bar sound system.

Responding to Do Ho Suh’s question ‘Is home a place, a feeling, or an idea?’ create your own collage or contribute to a growing collective map that explores the meaning of home through shared memories.

Talks: 10 Minute Talks

Join Ten Minute Talks and meet volunteers and staff from across Tate who bring our artworks to life as they share personal insights and fresh perspectives into works from the collection.

Workshop: Tate Draw

Head to our drawing desks and bring your creations to life with digital sketch pads. Tate Draw is supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies.

All Tate Modern entrances are step-free. You can enter via the Turbine Hall and into the Natalie Bell Building on Holland Street, or into the Blavatnik Building on Sumner street. There are lifts to every floor of the Blavatnik and Natalie Bell buildings. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Fully accessible toilets are located on every floor on the concourses.
  • A quiet room is available to use in the Natalie Bell Building on Level 4.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the Ticket desks.
