Make something unexpected. Break something unwanted

What did you make today? A cup of tea, a sculpture, a promise?
What will you break today? A fingernail, a glass ceiling, a bad habit?

We’re always making and breaking things. Making things up and breaking things down. In the process, we reinvent ourselves, our very identities. 'Making' ourselves is the most fundamental form of production there is. For individuals and for society.

Drop in to Tate Exchange for playful, participatory activities that focus on the way we use imagination and creativity to make things, how we make ourselves, or make new things out of old things. We'll also explore how we ‘unmake’ concepts and structures around us.

Join us. It’s make or break time!

This event is programmed by the University of Westminster, a Tate Exchange Associate.
