Tate Modern Workshop

Pick Up and Play

6–21 April 2019
A child and adult look at each other through paper cones

Under 5's Explore the Gallery with Ashley-Louise McNaughton, © Tanya Boyarkina, Tate 2019

Explore the gallery for yourself with the help of our Pick up and Play learning activities

Meet the families' team, be introduced to our range of family activities and discover playful ideas and ways of looking at art together.

Join a pop-up family workshop at 14.30 every day to create large-scale versions of these activities, working alongside other families.

Workshops are led by learning assistants and last between 30 and 45 minutes. Places are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis. There is no need to book. Meet at the yellow Family Cubes.

Family Cubes are situated on the Level 4 Concourse, Natalie Bell Building, Tate Modern.

Workshops have been designed by Tate Early Years and Families' team inspired by working with artists Ania Bas and Ashley Louise McNaughton.

*Please note that there will not be a workshop at Tate Britain on Sunday, 21 April.
