Portrait of dancers from The House of West

Picture by Derrick Kakembo for Issue 4 - Access, THIIIRD magazine

Join us for a talk, performance and a practical workshop around the cultural importance of dance

New York born D’Relle West of The House of West will be in conversation with Rhona Ezuma, editor in chief of THIIIRD magazine and producer Daniela Hornskov Sun. The in conversation will be followed by a Q&A and a workshop that will teach vogue dance moves.

Originating in the Harlem ballroom scene, voguing is best known for body flexing, drops to the floor and individual flair. It first emerged on mainstream television with Paris is Burning and Madonna's VOGUE.

Launched in 2015, THIIIRD magazine has been a home for celebrating identity and diversity. The publication champions the voices of women, BME and LGBTQ+, migrant groups, and marginalised communities with a spirit of allyship.

This event is in collaboration with THIIIRD magazine.
