To celebrate Tate Modern turning 25 this year, we are opening the Uniqlo Tate Shop, Art for All until 16 September.
Together with Uniqlo, we invite you to shop, play, and make this summer. With the shop open until 16 September, come and enjoy creative workshops inspired by Tate’s collection, exhibitions and displays.
Explore a range of creative in-store workshops, from DIY fashion styling to origami and Haiku writing, designed to inspire and get you involved.
Teru Teru Bōzu Making Workshop with Alice Davies
Participants will create their own Teru Teru Bōzu - traditional, handcrafted Japanese weather dolls made from tissue paper, fabric scraps, string, ribbons and markers. Inspired by the practice of hanging these dolls to wish for good weather, participants will personalise their creations to express their own personalities, ideas and dreams.
Participants can also design their own UNIQLO Tate Play T-shirts using templates, before bringing them to life on-site using the in-store UTme! machine, as a fun and playful way of further exploring their personalities, hopes and dreams creatively.
