WHITE GIRLS is a collection of 13 essays that form a portrait of ‘white girls’, an expansive category that spans Michael Jackson, Truman Capote, Eminem and Jean Michel Basquiat.
Hilton will be in conversation with journalist Charlie Porter. The evening will include readings from WHITE GIRLS, an audience Q&A and a chance to buy signed copies of the book.
Biographies
Hilton Als (born 1960) is a Pulitzer prize-winning writer and chief theatre critic at the New Yorker. He lives in New York.
Charlie Porter is men’s fashion critic of the Financial Times. He writes for Fantastic Man, Luncheon and Love, and has previously worked at the Guardian, GQ and the Times. He recently guest edited the Spring 2018 issue of i-D.
