Head to St Ives and join us for an energising mix of art, music, workshops, exhibitions and performance created by and for young people. From freerunning to light projections, digital animation to spoken word and dance to trance, there’s something for everyone. You’ll find events and happenings around the town and beach.
Plug in, switch on, activate at our venues across St Ives:
Check out the lo-fi surf punk of The Black Tambourines and the unstoppable punky force of The Velvet Hands. Discover a club night with a difference and dance until late at the Moogie Wonderland and Durty Disco art party.
Join performance poet Jess Green at the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, see hip hop meet ballet in a unique dance piece by the award winning, Cornwall-based Big Dance Company and look out for artist Rebecca Smith on her Light Cycle as she projects guerrilla imagery around the streets of St Ives.
Ever wanted to try freerunning? Then join Street Motion for an active workshop and later catch them in action on the streets of St Ives. Other highlights include a dance performance by Lutalica, inspired by the Cornish beach and sea, Snapshot Shirley selfie booth and digishops with Clannamation and Urban Projections.

Circuit SWITCH Festival has been created by Tate Collective St Ives, a community of young people in Cornwall that meet up regularly to talk about art, collaborate, create, experiment, plan and deliver new projects for other young people aged 15-25.
Led by Tate and funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Circuit is a four year national programme connecting 15-25 year olds to the arts in galleries and museums working in partnership with the youth and cultural sector.
