Join us in August as we create art outside inspired by the seaside environment of Porthmeor Beach and the artists in our galleries. Each session is led by a local artist and will help us think about the themes of our current exhibitions and explore the Cornish coastline through different ways of making and imagining.
Designed for children age 5–12. Younger children welcome. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult with a ticket.
Please meet at the gallery in the Loggia, our outside, covered circular space just before the main entrance.
Dive into the Deep
Every Wednesday
Inspired by the beautiful film making of Emma Critchley and our seaside environment, get creative on Porthmeor Beach. Play games to explore deep sea creatures, collect inspiration and materials from the beach, and paint your own underwater scenes.
Sound Sculptures
Every Thursday
Inspired by the amazing art of Liliane Lijn, create super sand sculptures on Porthmeor Beach. Learn carving skills with our workshop artist, then use the sounds of the beach to transform your abstract sculptures by making the invisible visible.
