Letter from Vanessa Grant, Asheham House, Rodmell, Lewes, East Sussex, to Duncan Grant. She is staying with Clive and Roger Fry, who exhaust her with discussions about art, and has seen Dr Craig, a nerve specialist. She contemplates returning to oil painting after her watercolours compare unfavourably to the Cézannes Fry showed her. Also mentions Frederick and Jessie Etchells, George (?Duckworth), and Adrian Stephen.
