She describes several domestic accidents of the previous night - Angelica's nosebleed, Grace Germany's hand injury while sawing wood; painting a portrait of Grant, while Quentin paints a still life; and looking at old photographs, including a 1902 portrait of her by George Charles Beresford. Also mentions Angelica Bell, Douglas Davidson, Louie Dunnet, Roger Fry, Peter Morris, Julia Stephen, and Virginia Woolf.
