- Description
- Letter from Vanessa Bell, 46 Gordon Square, Bloomsbury, London, to Duncan Grant, about a mislaid letter sent by Jacques Copeau via Clive Bell. Copeau wants Grant to execute designs for a theatrical tour of the US; Bell suggests they collaborate on the commission for what would eventually be a Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier production of Maurice Maeterlinck's 'Pelléas et Mélisande' in New York, 1919. Letter also mentions Bell's children (Julian and Quentin) and servant Mabel Selwood.
