All the drawings in this sketchbook are of landscapes or organic forms and are probably Pembrokeshire themes. Most seem to have been made during his visit to Pembrokeshire in the Autumn of 1944, but there is also at least one early study for the 'Thorn Tree' theme which dates from 1945.
