Description

In this letter Zervos writes to Lipchitz about an exhibition of sculptures at the gallery of Georges Bernheim and another exhibition of drawings of sculptors at the Gallerie de France. Zervos invites Lipchitz to take part and mentions [Roger] Vitrac and several sculptors as useful contacts.

Full text:
'My Dear Lipchitz,
We are organising a sculpture exhibition on the 4th of November at Georges Bernheim. We've already obtained a large sculpture from Maillol [Aristide]; a large figure by Despiau [Charles]; some figures for the fountains by Laurens [Henri] and we would like to get your latest work that I don't know yet but have heard wonderful things from Vitrac.
At the same time, we are organising an exhibition of sculptor's drawings at the Galerie de France that is very intimate. I would like to have two of your drawings.
You know my interest in sculpture and I would be happy to see the public interest in them. But for this we need our [illegible word] to be effective, strong and of quality. Inside or in the preface of the next review, I want to write an article about these two exhibitions.
I would also like to get a photograph of your latest sculpture and a drawing. I count on your reply.
I've asked Vitrac to write an article about you.
Best wishes to your wife, with all my friendship.
ChrZervos'
