Confirmation of a contract with Lipchitz and an invoice. Robert is to make a clay model after Lipchitz's maquette of 'Prometheus', using his materials, in his atelier, etc. He should finish everything by 15 April 1937 if the maquette would by provided by Lipchitz before 1st February 1937. Price of his work is 14 000 francs.

Full text in translation:
'Mr. Lipchitz
Following my visit to your studio, I want you to know that I'm committed to you.
1. To execute with clay according to your large maquette for the work called 'Promethee' [Prometheus]
2. To provide the different materials needed to execute this piece
3. To make the casting in my studio, 30 rue Jeanne, for a cost of fourteen thousand francs, 14 000 fr, providing of course that I have access to the model from the 1st February 1937, and that you will pick up the completed work from my studio on the 15th April 1937
How to pay: one third must be paid at the start of the project and the other third at the end of [the project]
[letter missing bits due to the paper being tear off]
If you could confirm these terms with a letter as soon as possible so that I can make all the arrangements necessary to start the work on this project.
All my best wishes,
E. Robert
Sculptor, 31 rue Jeanne, Paris 15e.'
