Description

Issue 21, 9th year of publication. This journal was published in 1914 and 1921-30. It was an avant-garde journal featuring many young artists who were invited to create original illustrations. 'Montparnasse' played an important role in the developement of the 'School of Paris'. The editor-in-chief was Paul Husson, many members of editorial board were poets and artists (Geo Charles, Lebedeff, Van Donghen et al). The journal's oficial illustrator A.P. Gallien made a portrait of Jacques Lipchitz. This issue contains an original woodcuts by Jean Lebedeff (1884-1972)and George Gimel (1898-1962), poems by Ivan Goll (1891-1950), and articles by Geo-Charles and Paul Husson.
