- On the reverse of this photograph there is writing in Russian: 'To dear people from Ninochka for a memory. 14/II/35'. The sitter could be Nina Dzhivilegova, wife of Andrei Shimkevich, Berthe Lipchitz's son and the daughter of the famous art historian Prof A.K. Dzhivilegov. Nina Dzhivilegova and Andrei married in 1933 or 1934, and they met with Jacques and Berthe Lipchitz during their visit to the USSR in Autumn 1935.
