- Draft letter from Phillips to the London Editor of the 'Manchester Guardian' in response to its coverage of his resignation from the ICA, asserting that 'My differences with the Committee of Management were not with regard to the artistic policy, but were concerned with purely internal problems of administration and responsibility'. He also denies that he 'objected to the so-called 'Americanisation' of the Institute'.
