Letter from John Banting to Humphrey Spender

[c.1930s]

Page 1

In this letter, John Banting offers the contact details for a 'hair grower', and illustrates the results on a friend of his with an annotated cartoon sketch on the other side of the letter, depicting a man holding a cigarette in one hand and a glass of wine, with 'bushy white hair', 'stays', 'padded chest and shoulders' and 'high "cuban" heels'. In a postscript he says that he would very much like to meet 'Dereck [sic] Kahn' again.
