Description

The letter concerns Epstein's family and work, mentioning that he will probably not be able to visit Norman Hornstein and Peggy Jean this summer, he has cast the last part of the Philadelphia group (possibly 'Social Consciousness' 1954) and the Smuts memorial has been announced. The letter also mentions his show at Leicester Galleries was not a success because of the Coronation, he has done portraits of two American girls, had a surprise visit from Irving Epstein's son Martin, and that Jackie Epstein is still at college.
