Illustrator, filmmaker and comic book artist Dave McKean tells us how the art of Paul Nash influenced on his own work

Influential illustrator, comic artist, filmmaker, musician Dave McKean's new comic book Black Dog: The Dreams of Paul Nash is a uniquely original exploration of the life, imagination and ‘dreams’ of Paul Nash. In this film we talk to Dave about Nash’s work as a war artist and how his landscape paintings are just as much ‘psychological spaces’ as geographical places.

Dave McKean's work has appeared in Neil Gaiman’s Sandman and Grant Morrison’s Arkham Asylum. He also directed the 2014 film Luna.
