Many of the works in this series are purposefully ambiguous, including this one. The screen of multicoloured plastic strips hanging from a metal duct resembles water flowing from a tap. Hidden in the outflow is a ‘figure’ who has ominously arrived at ‘Rainbow’s End’. Bennett explained his open-ended approach in terms of ‘the idea and its poetic resonances,’ adding ‘poetics is never clear, but ambiguous which increases the possibilities for meaningful engagement and demands the viewer to think. My work endeavours to provoke thought.’
