Catalogue entry

This rough sketch shows Elgin Cathedral from the east, with the two-arched stone bridge over the River Lossie to the east. Two square shapes at the right of the sketch represent the two towers at the west of the structure. There are sketches from close by on folio 131 verso (D27202). Turner made a full circuit of Elgin Cathedral, making sketches from every side: see folio 139 (D27215) for references.
