Gather Together is a summer of activity inspired by Alvaro Barrington’s Grace commission at Tate Britain. Rooted in the artist’s personal memories growing up in Grenada and Brooklyn, we explore what it means for communities to show up and show love today.
There’s something for everyone! Warm up to carnival with legendary steelpan bands, soak up the sound system energy, and take part in storytelling, painting, and interactive games at The Big Weekender. Make a day of it and bring a picnic or grab something from one of our delicious street food stalls.
Families of all ages can drop into our newly opened Paint Room space to try out different ways of painting - mixing colours and making marks together. If dressing up is more your thing, check out our recently launched Play Studio where you can strike a pose and express yourself through performance, music and making.
Tate Britain's step-free entrance is on Atterbury Street. It has automatic sliding doors and there is a ramp down to the entrance with central handrails.
There is a lift between the Lower and Main floors. Alternatively you can take the stairs.
- Accessible and standard toilets are located on the Lower floor
- Ear defenders can be borrowed from the ticket desk on the Lower floor
