The Turner Prize 2022 is back in Liverpool and we’re inviting you to get to know each of the four nominees through our Meet the Artist event series. Join each of the artists in conversation with a guest of their choice, to discuss the themes of their work.
For the first in our series, hear from Sin Wai Kin. Nominated for their involvement in the British Art Show 9 and their solo presentation at Blindspot Gallery, Frieze London, Sin Wai Kin brings fantasy to life through storytelling in performance, moving image, writing, and print. Drawing on their own experience, their work realises fictional narratives to describe lived realities of desire, identification, and consciousness.
The artist will be joined in conversation with Liverpool drag and visual artist, Dan Chan. The artists will discuss themes of identity in science fiction, drag, and multidisciplinary artistic practice. The event will be followed by an audience Q&A.
