Back at Tate Modern these special releases are part of DEYA’s latest artist-inspired labels forming their NZ series, inspired by the bold colours and cut-out shapes of Matisse.
Expect a full DEYA tap list and be one of the first to try:
Senescence – IPA, 6.5%
Fluorescence – DIPA, 8.0%
Essence – Cask Pale, 4.5%
Plus a lineup of NZ-hopped specials.
DEYA’s longtime collaborator Thom Hobson will be live in the space, leading a drop-in can label workshop. Using props and materials provided, you’ll get the chance to design your own can artwork inspired by the playful shapes and expressive forms of Matisse. Just show up and get stuck in.
Setting the tone for the evening is broadcaster and DJ Haseeb Iqbal, whose sets move between jazz, global rhythms, dub and experimental sounds. Known for his vinyl-led approach and thoughtful selections — including his Studio Crumb club nights and Beats and Boards series at Tate. Haseeb will bring a laid-back, expressive soundtrack to the space, the perfect backdrop for a few beers and a bit of drawing.
Event attendees will also have the exclusive opportunity to be among the first to purchase Henri Matisse, the latest title in Tate Publishing’s Artists Series, for £12.99 (£10.80 for Tate Members).
