These are just some of the questions that we will address during this fascinating panel discussion with three top experts on the subject of AI and creativity.
The one-hour discussion begins at 19:00 and will be followed by a Q&A.

Marcus du Sautoy
Probably Britain’s best-known mathematician, Marcus du Sautoy is the Charles Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. Besides having won many awards and distinctions in maths, Marcus is a prodigious polymath whose bibliography includes several books about maths and science, including Creative Code. The latter explores the impact of AI and machine learning on the creative arts and mathematics. Marcus has also hosted several TV shows including the four-part landmark TV series for the BBC called The Story of Maths and collaborated with artists on multi-disciplinary projects in theatre and music. In 2004, Esquire Magazine chose him as one of the 100 most influential people under 40 in Britain. He received an OBE for services to science in 2010.
Massimo Sterpi
Massimo is one of the world’s top experts on the law of Art and Technology. He is partner and Head of the IP and Art Law departments of Italian firm Gianni & Origoni with over 25 years of experience in all types of IP litigation. A passionate art collector himself, Massimo has been focusing on the legal aspects related to disruptive technologies – blockchain, neural networks, AI, AR/VR - in recent years. Among his many leadership positions, he was recently appointed as Chair of the AI Task Force of the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) and is the current President of that organisation’s Art Law Committee. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and sits on the Board of Directors of the US Friends of the MAXXI Foundation. Besides authoring and editing many articles about intellectual property, art law and art tech, Massimo’s Art Collecting Legal Handbook is now in its third edition.
Dr Rebecca Swift
Rebecca is Senior Vice President of Creative Content at Getty Images. She joined the photography industry over 20 years ago and was one of the founding members of the creative research team at Getty Images. She has a PhD in Photography and her research expertise is in commercial creativity and the evolution of visual trends in advertising. Her foresight into cultural and societal trends shaping visual communication drives Getty Images’ creative offering and Rebecca directs the company’s creation of imagery and video, ensuring that its content and insights are always fresh and relevant. In 2020, Rebecca was recognized as one of AdAge’s “20 Women to Watch” and is Campaign magazine’s Female Frontier honouree. She was awarded the “Most Influential Leader in UK Visual Media” by the Corporate Excellence Awards in 2020.
