A modern marketplace for energy and ideas, fuelled by you and your imagination

Exchange ideas and learn new skills in a space inspired by the vibrant, open public spaces of a North African medina and driven by play, performance and creativity.

How do we represent our new cultural identities? Produce an alternative selfie with artist Margot Bowman and hear her talk about her Identify project. Join a beat-making workshop to learn music production basics with @producergirls founder E.M.M.A., Dexplicit and P Jam or create your own paper future cityscape with OOMK collective.

Words your thing? Turn ideas into poems in a workshop and open mic with Chill Pill Poetry Collective. Immerse yourself in a speculative landscape or play with dreams and colour in the Xanadu By Day installation by Maribut/Baum.

Wondering what you’ve missed?

Drop in to the digital aggregator to explore people’s responses to the medina, documented by students from Ravensbourne University.

Catch live discussion and performance on Saturday

On Saturday, join a discussion with Protein and a panel of experts exploring the relationship between the online and physical gallery space, the young collectives that inhabit them, and how they can better inform one another.

Plus don’t miss an evening of experimental performance on Saturday 19 November from 19.30, to showcase and celebrate the ideas and work created over the four days of the medina.

Spatial design by Taxonym

Architect and set design duo Taxonym have created the medina infrastructure, dividing Tate Exchange into spaces composed of floors, canopies, signs, screens and objects that describe a medina.
