Portrait of the authors

Join The Pukkas as they explore the humour of modern parenting, love and relationships

Meet journalists, campaigners and co-founders of MotherPukka, the blog ‘for people who happen to be parents’. Anna Whitehouse 'Mother Pukka', and Matt Farquharson 'Papa Pukka', will talk parenting, flexible working, love, social media, and more.

Anna founded the Flex Appeal campaign after her own flexible working request was refused by her employer. Flex Appeal is a campaign to push for flexible working for all to improve work-life balance and increase productivity.

Anna and Matt are the authors of the Sunday Times bestseller Parenting the Shit out of Life. The book is an account of parenting told from both parents‘ perspectives. It's a handy guide (kind of) on how to raise a small human.

Their latest book Where's My Happy Ending?: Happily ever after and how the heck to get there sets to discover whether love and relationships could be simpler (or more complex) than we think in this study on what it means to find and keep love today.
