Tate Modern Birthday Beer Launch X Beak

Join us for the launch party of Turbine celebrating 25 years of Tate Modern!

Earlier this year, we teamed up with our friends at Beak brewery to make Turbine, a special edition Double Dry-Hopped Pale Ale in celebration of Tate Modern’s 25th anniversary. This beer is bursting with Riwaka, Mosaic, and Citra hops, offering vibrant flavours of tangerine, cassis, passion fruit, and mango.

Turbine named in honour of our iconic Turbine Hall, which has delivered 25 years of extraordinary art commissions. On the night, guests will have after-hours access to the Turbine Hall Bridge. A chance to take in the space that inspired the beer, with Louise Bourgeois’ Maman sculpture back at Tate for the first time since 2000.

We’re excited to launch this collaboration on 8 May, ahead of Tate Modern’s birthday weekend, with a Beak tap takeover at the Corner from 18.00 to 23.00. Jay Cover's incredible artwork will be featured at the launch party, alongside live DJ sets and beer tasting.

Turbine x Tate 5% DDH Pale Ale

Earlier this year, Tate Modern invited us to brew a beer in celebration of its 25th anniversary. The result is this Double Dry-Hopped pale ale, dripping in Riwaka, Mosaic and Citra hops for flavours of tangerine, cassis, passionfruit and mango. Help us raise a toast to the world’s most popular museum of modern and contemporary art!Hum 4.8% Pale Ale

We brewed this pale ale with silly amounts of Idaho 7, Motueka and Cashmere hops along with an experimental yeast strain known for creating beers with voluptuous body and ripe tropical fruit flavours.

Parade 6% IPA

Our house IPA combines London Fog yeast with three of our favourite hop varieties, Citra, Mosaic and Idaho 7, resulting in fruit bubblegum flavours of mango, orange peel, pineapple and ripe flat peaches.

Dest 5% Czech PIls

This unfiltered, naturally carbonated lager is brewed with German Pilsner malt along with Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefrüh hops before being cold conditioned for 30 days. Crisp, clean and frizzing with classic noble hop character.

Presso 5.5% Nitro Stout x Holy Mountain

A smooth, velvety Nitro stout, brewed in collaboration with Holy Mountain based in Seattle, using bold Honduran coffee and rich cacao. Expect a coffee-forward punch with notes of dark chocolate, all rounded out by silky finish.

Louie 5.2% Witbier

This refreshing witbier has been brewed to classic Belgian standards using oats, wheat, spices and orange peel. It's hazy, spritzy and bursting with flavours of marmalade, clove and lemon verbena.

Tables 3.4% Table Beer

This juicy little pale was brewed with a protein rich grist and silly amounts of super fresh Citra and Idaho-7 hops for silky smooth mouthfeel and flavours of orange, lemon zest and ripe mango.

Cosm x Uchu 6.5% IPA

Uchu Brewing in Hokuto, Japan, makes some of the best hop-forward beers in the world. This hazy India Pale Ale was brewed with founder Masahiro Kusunose, using Strata CGX, Strata, Idaho 7, Nelson and Citra hops. You'll find notes of grapefruit, pot, dried orange, pineapple and lemon drops.

Threads x Floc 6.5% IPA

A pillowy soft Citra and Krush-hopped IPA created with the lovely folk at Floc as part of a project to create two singular but complementary IPAs designed to be coalesced in the same glass. Enjoy on its own, or for the full 5D experience, blend with Floc’s Threads 3 showcasing late-harvest Nelson Sauvin and super aromatic

Mosaic.Panna 6% Sour

A thick, opulent and tart pastry sour saturated in raspberry, blueberry, vanilla and maple syrup. We’re getting flavours of panna cotta, berry sorbet and OTT breakfast pancake stacks.

Rays 6% IPA

A juicy, Citra forward IPA bursting with flavours of tangy lemon zest, orange peel and hints of tropical fruit. Some Good Drops 8% DIPA x Messorem

This Double India Pale Ale was created with Messorem Bracitorium Inc., a brewery in Montreal, Canada, making some of the best hop-forward beers in the world. Brewed with oats and wheat and heavily hopped with hand selected Citra, Citra Cryo and Motueka for super thick mouthfeel and flavours of mango, passionfruit, lychee, lime zest and lemon pavlova.

Fields 8%. DIPA

Fields is a limited edition trio of beers, each showcasing a different hop variety from the latest Yakima Chief Hops harvest. This Double India Pale Ale focuses on a single lot of hand selected Idaho-7, paired with an extraordinarily expressive batch of Citra. Thick, yellow and bursting with flavours of pineapple, mango, pink grapefruit and apricot.

Beak began life as a nomadic project run by food and drink writer Daniel Tapper, who spent several years honing his recipes with friends at some of the UK’s greatest breweries. The project has since laid roots in the East Sussex town of Lewes where it also runs an award-winning taproom and street-food canteen. Though best known for its hop-forward IPAs, the brewery also makes a wide range of beers from crisp and clear pilsners to decadent imperial stouts.
