This sketchbook mainly contains sketches of labourers and working class men and women in London. Some have been identified with the location and profession of the subject (e.g. 'Roadsweeper - Canon St') and a date. Many others have not. The inside of the front cover is inscribed 'Sketches in London March [to] 1925'. The sketchbook appears to have been filled in in a month-long period between March and April 1925. - Format
