Papers of Stanhope Alexander Forbes (1857-1947)

1876–1951

Items available online are a range of Alexander Stanhope Forbes' personal papers including letters he wrote to his future wife, Elizabeth Armstrong, during the late 1880s and drafts of some of the speeches about art he presented later in his career. As a founding member of the Newlyn School of Artists, also digitised is a photograph album including many scenes from Newlyn in Cornwall.

Details of the remainder of the collection can be found on the Archive catalogue.
