Display caption
Painted at Morfa Nefyn in Wales, Young Dreams shows Hook’s abiding sympathy for children as well as his skill in evoking the beauties of a distant sea on a calm summer’s day. A comparison with a recent photograph of the same site demonstrates Hook’s principle of fidelity to the actual scene before him.
