Catalogue entry

Continued from folio 25 verso (D13627; CLXVII 24a) is a sketch of the ruins of Dunbar Castle. To the left of the page, and the right of 25 verso, are the remains of the castle gate containing the most detailed fragments. Turner has also made faint sketches of several details at the top of the page. The castle and the headland upon which it stands fall away into the sea at the right, and at the far right of the page is the outline of Bass Rock (see folio 21; D13619; CLXVII 20 for a similar view).
