Story Space Read Aloud: Chitra Soundar

2 July 2022 at 14.00–15.30
A woman looks to camera

Meet author Chitra Soundar, hear stories and draw

Join writer, author and storyteller Chitra Soundar as she reads a selection of her books including You’re Snug With Me and Sona Sharma: Looking after Planet Earth.

Stay for a drawing session led by Chitra, including ‘kolam’ - a South Indian form of drawing on the ground or make a poster about our planet.

This event may be photographed for Tate and our partners. Please tell us if you do not want to be photographed.

Tate Britain's step-free entrance is on Atterbury Street. It has automatic sliding doors and there is a ramp down to the entrance with central handrails.

This event is in the Manton Studio, which is next to the ticket desk as you enter the gallery.

There is a lift between the Lower and Main floors. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Accessible and standard toilets are located on the Lower floor.
  • A Changing Places toilet is not currently available.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the ticket desk on the Lower floor.

To help plan your visit to Tate Britain, have a look at our visual story. It includes photographs and information about what you can expect from a visit to the gallery.
