Fill your Easter holidays with free creative activities for the whole family

Join us for a free hands-on creative workshop for families of all ages at Tate Liverpool + RIBA North! Create your own imaginative moving characters and bring your unique creations to life in our shadow puppet theatre.

You can also experiment with zoetrope animations - a spinning cylinder that blurs different images together when it spins so the pictures look like they're moving! Use animations created by illustrator Laura-Kate Chapman and design your own moving creations to use with our zoetropes!

Our free Art Games booklets are also available to pick up and take home.

Feeling hungry? Drop in to our café to enjoy our special kids lunch deal, available during the school holidays and weekends. This includes a sandwich, packet of crisps, piece of fruit and a drink for £6.95.

Tate Liverpool is temporarily located at RIBA North, Mann Island, a short distance (425m) along Liverpool’s iconic waterfront. There is step free access to the main entrance. There is a lift to the first floor gallery, or alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Toilets are located on the first floor
  • The nearest Changing Places toilet is located at the Museum of Liverpool
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the front desk

Additional seating is also available. Please ask a member of staff if you require assistance.

To help plan your visit to Tate Liverpool + RIBA North, have a look at our visual story. It includes photographs and information of what you can expect from a visit to the gallery.
