‘We will also present a "lecture-demonstration", the old-fashioned way. When I was little, it was not uncommon for dance companies to lend themselves to this "game" of unfolding in front of the audience the composition of the play that would be played in the evening. It is less a public rehearsal than a kind of "textual explanation" in which everyone works. The dancers peel their score. The choreographer looks for words to illuminate his choices. And the audience tries to enter the process of composing a vast collective enterprise ...’
