Technique and condition
The image is painted in watercolour applied over a pencil underdrawing with detail in gouache on a grey/off-white wove paper. The work is in sound condition although it has suffered a small amount of abrasion and discolouration from its mount.
On acquisition the work was removed from its mount prior to being pressed, inlaid and mounted onto white museum board.
