Technique and condition
The image is painted in watercolour with detail of gouache on blue wove paper. The work is in good condition. A slight discolouration is visible where the window mount opening has exposed the work to atmospheric conditions; all four edges under window mount opening show the paper tone to be brighter and 'bluer'.
On acquisition the woodpulp mount and backing were removed. Residual adhesive on the verso was removed and the work pressed prior to being inlaid and mounted on to white museum board.
